The plant compounds in Kidney Wood have showed anti-glycation, liver – protectior, and hypoglycemic (lower blood sugar levels) actions that could be potentially beneficial against type 2 die betes, more: benefits include protection against urinary infections, improvements to overall urine flow (diuretic); against kidney inflammation (nephriss) and pain, against kidney stones, to lower fevers, to treat stomach problems (colics), and as a general tonic.

Directions: Pour 6 cups of Rainbow Water into a large pot, and place it over medium heot.

When the water starts boiling, place the Polo Azul bark inside. Give the mixture a quick stir, and cover the pot. You SHOULD NOT lower the heat at this point as the wood chips will be boiling for the entire cooking process.

Let cook for o full hour, covered. This part is important as you need to trap the extracted compounds inside and stop evoporation.

After an hour, remove from heat and uncover the pot. You will notice the chips are now floating on top. which means that you’ve extracted all the nutrients into the water. Strain the tea into a cup and drink. We recommend to consume all herbs and teas in their natural state but if you must, add your favorite natural/healthy sweetener and enjoy. Avoid white sugar!
